economyflexi tickets are referred to as 'worksflexi' for cross-Tasman (AU-NZ) and Islands (PI-NZ) flights for some markets. If you have booked Economy, you may see this reflected as 'theworks' or 'worksflexi' in your e-ticket.
Adding baggage to seat only ticket
It's easy to add one checked bag after purchasing a seat only ticket, and it's cheaper to prepay before arriving at the airport. You have three options to add a bag to your seat booking.
- Online
Simply retrieve your booking online and add your first checked bag for NZD$30 or AUD$30 up to 90 minutes before an international flight. You can also upgrade to theworks for an additional NZD$40 or AUD$40 to enjoy the full service offering including a checked bag. Additional fees and surcharges may apply for upgrades. If you have extra bags, heavy or large items, you may need to pay additional fees after upgrading to theworks. - Contact centre

Speak to the travel agent who made your flight booking.
Koru members
Koru Gold, Koru Platinum, Koru Black, Koru Family Nominees, Koru Platinum Nominees, Koru Black Nominees, and Koru Club members will not receive any baggage entitlements on seat fares. If you add a bag to a seat fare, you will be able to check in one bag up to 23kgs. There is no additional baggage entitlement. Please consider this when making a booking. It is recommended to purchase our full-service fare, such as theworks, to enjoy the frequent flyer benefit of extra baggage allowance.
