Whether you already own Air New Zealand shares or are considering investing, here are some key things to know.

Ownership

The New Zealand Government currently owns 51% of Air New Zealand's ordinary shares. The remaining shares are publicly traded on the New Zealand Stock Exchange (NZX: AIR) and Australian Securities Exchange (ASX: AIZ).

Buying or selling shares

Air New Zealand shares are bought and sold through licensed stockbrokers. If you don't already have a broker, you can find a registered participant on the NZX website.

Our stock exchange listings

Air New Zealand has been listed on the NZX since 24 October 1989 and the ASX since 1 July 2002.

Our financial year

Our financial year runs from 1 July to 30 June, with interim reporting covering the six months from 1 July to 31 December.
