Inflight Wi-Fi
Your inflight Wi-Fi is on us, so you can stay connected.
Check if your flight has Wi-Fi
Stay connected when you fly with free Wi-Fi on selected Air New Zealand flights.
Download the Air New Zealand app to check if inflight Wi-Fi is available on your flight. The Wi-Fi icon next to your flight will only show if Wi-Fi is available. Check again on the day you fly, as last-minute aircraft changes can occasionally occur.

How inflight Wi-Fi works
Our Wi-Fi signal goes from your device to an antenna on top of the aircraft. It then heads into space, where a satellite picks it up and sends it back to earth. Your data comes back to the satellite, down to our jet and back to your device.
This technology has been provided by Viasat, together with Panasonic Avionics and RAVE Aerospace.
Flying globally means sometimes we may briefly go through a Wi-Fi blackout area. These don't typically last long so you should be connected again shortly.

Using inflight Wi-Fi
Our inflight Wi-Fi is designed for everyday online activities. To help everyone on board get the best possible connection, some high-data activities aren't supported.
