Credits and refunds Credit
What is a credit?
A credit is a dollar value retained for you to use in the future. Think of it as an electronic voucher to spend when you're ready.
There are two types of Air New Zealand credit, depending on how you originally booked your travel.
- Booked directly with Air New Zealand
If you booked your flights directly with Air New Zealand, your credit is held and managed by Air New Zealand. - Booked through another airline or a travel agent
If you booked your flights through another airline or a travel agent, any credit will generally be managed through the airline or travel agent you booked with. You’ll need to contact them directly to use or manage your credit.
Credit eligibility
You may be offered a credit if your flight is cancelled, if your travel plans change, or if the fare rules that apply to your booking allow your ticket to be held in credit. Whether a credit is available will depend on the circumstances and the conditions that apply to your booking.
For more information, refer to our Air New Zealand Credit Terms and Conditions and our Conditions of Carriage.
