We can't rule out more than one destination.

Are Mystery Breaks available for solo travellers, families, or groups?

Accepted Answer

Solo travellers: Yes. A single surcharge applies for solo traveller Mystery Breaks Families: Yes. Packages are priced for two adults and two children, but our Mystery Breaks can be tailored to suit different family sizes Groups: No. Mystery Breaks aren’t available for group bookings.

Question 3

Can I give a Mystery Break as a gift?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Simply choose the gift option when booking and we’ll send you a voucher once payment is complete. You can email it to your recipient or print it to give in person. When they’ve chosen their travel dates, they can book online or get in touch with us and we’ll handle the rest.

When will I find out where I'm going?

Accepted Answer

Your destination will be revealed at least two days before departure, giving you plenty of time to prepare and pack appropriately.

Question 5

What dates can I travel for my Mystery Break?

Accepted Answer

You can travel at a time that works for you, with some limitations during busy periods like school holidays and public holidays. If you need to travel during these times, our team can help with options. Not ready to lock in your dates? You can book now and decide later by selecting the gift option . You’ll have up to 12 months to confirm your travel dates. Please note that fees may apply if you change your dates after they’ve been confirmed.

How do I confirm dates for my Mystery Break?

Accepted Answer

You can confirm your travel dates by entering your voucher details online when booking, or by emailing them to our team at mysterybreaks@goholidays.co.nz . To secure the best flight and accommodation options, please confirm your travel dates at least 45 days before you plan to travel.

Question 7

Can I use Airpoints to pay for a Mystery Break?

Accepted Answer

No. Airpoints can’t be used to purchase a Mystery Break. You can add your Koru number to your booking to earn Airpoints on your flight, and access online check-in via the Air New Zealand app . Some accommodation and rental car providers may not offer loyalty points for Mystery Break stays.

Question 8

Can I use Air New Zealand credit to pay for a Mystery Break?

Accepted Answer

No. Air New Zealand credit can’t be used for Mystery Breaks, as accommodation and rental cars are provided by our partners.

Question 9

Can I change or cancel my Mystery Break after booking?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but bookings are non-refundable once travel dates are confirmed . Additional costs are likely if you want to change your travel dates, break duration, number of guests, package type or departure location.
