TSA PreCheck®

If you're travelling on an Air New Zealand flight departing from or transiting through the U.S. You may be eligible to use TSA PreCheck lanes.

Already have a Known Traveller Number (KTN) from any of the trusted traveller programs? You can add it to your booking to access the TSA PreCheck benefits.

Travelling with children?

Children aged 17 and under can accompany a parent or guardian through TSA PreCheck lanes when TSA PreCheck appears on the child’s boarding pass.

1. Add your Known Traveler Number (KTN)

You can easily add or update your KTN:

• During online check-in
• When checking in using the Air NZ app

Other ways to add your KTN

If you can’t add your KTN online, you can also:

• Provide your KTN to your travel agent when making or updating your booking
• Contact an Air New Zealand representative by phone to add your KTN before check-in
• If you haven't been able to add your KTN before arriving at the airport, ask an Air New Zealand representative to add it before your boarding pass is issued

2. Make sure your details match

To help ensure TSA PreCheck appears on your boarding pass:

• Enter your KTN exactly as provided
• Your KTN is usually 9–10 digits
• Do not include spaces or dashes
• The name on your booking must match the name used for your TSA PreCheck enrolment.

3. Check your boarding pass

To use TSA PreCheck lanes, the TSA PreCheck indicator must appear on your boarding pass.
