If you have purchased a ticket on a participating Star Alliance partner airline flight, you may be able to use your Airpoints Dollars to upgrade.
Star Alliance Upgrade Awards are confirmed at the time of request, based on space availability and ticketed booking class.
The Star Alliance Upgrade award chart shows you how many Airpoints Dollars you need for your upgrade and outlines more information relating to eligible booking classes for each carrier.
Upgrade rewards are available for flights ticketed on the following Star Alliance airlines: Adria Airways, Aegean Airlines, Air Canada, Air China, ANA, Asiana, Austrian Airlines, AviancaTACA, Brussels Airlines, Copa Airlines, Croatian Airlines, Ethiopian Airlines, EygptAir, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa, SAS, Singapore Airlines, Swiss, TAM, TAP Portugal, Thai Airways, Turkish Airlines, US Airways and United.
Please note that upgrades on ANA and Lufthansa may only be requested within 28 days of flight departure. Upgrades to First and Business Class on Singapore Airlines' B777-300ER, All-Business Class A345 and A380 are not available.
