Majestically beautiful, its wide open bowls are surrounded by the rugged peaks of The Remarkables mountain range. A gentle sloping beginners’ area in full view of the base building is equipped with three surface conveyor lifts providing awesome first time fun. An additional two chairs offer the novice skier and rider a wide array of intermediate trails to choose from and the Shadow Chair serves a swath of terrain for the advanced. Further up the slopes, a progressive network of terrain parks includes the Tararua Real Iced Coffee Beginner/Novice Terrain Park, the larger, world-class Dirty Dog Terrain Park and the Southern Hemisphere’s first Stash - an evolutionary, revolutionary Burton signature park. Lift served and hikeable terrain offers challenging excitement for free skiers and riders, completing the versatility of the alpine resort. Not-so-serious visitors can play in the purpose built Ozone Tubing Park. Bathed in sunshine the park is a must for those family members wanting a break from skiing/riding or those looking for a not-so-serious snow experience. Slide down purpose built tubing lanes in an inner tube. Sit, lie down, go backwards, spin yourself around, there’s so many different ways, your imagination is your only limit and it’s all about fun! The Remarkables is renowned for its friendly family atmosphere. There’s regular live music on the deck, tunes in the parks, an award winning ski and snowboard school, retail shop and equipment hire.
