New Amenities and Services on International Flights
EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (December 14, 2006) - Air New Zealand today announced a re-launch of its Pacific Premium Economy service available through international travel on 747s and 777s, including flights out of Los Angeles and San Francisco. Beginning on December 20, Pacific Premium Economy will offer new amenities and enhanced services that will allow passengers to enjoy many benefits of Air New Zealand's Business Premier class.
The new offerings include pre take-off drinks, printed menus and meals designed by Air New Zealand consultant chefs, and Business Premier snacks. Pacific Premium Economy customers will also receive hot towels, amenity kits, Living Nature lip balm, slippers (on selected flights), noise-cancelling headsets and more.
"Our customers have told us that they love the additional legroom and exclusive feel of the Pacific Premium Economy cabin, and suggested that we look at providing a greater choice of food and amenities," said Ed Sims, Air New Zealand Group General Manager International.
"Customers have been enthusiastic about Pacific Premium Economy since it was launched in mid-2005," added Sims. "The product now has the opportunity to be less of an 'Economy Plus' and more of a Business Class-style experience."
Pacific Premium Economy class is located in the premium cabin and features the largest pitch in its class at 39-40 inches, a generous seat width and on-demand entertainment on a personal 8.4-inch high-resolution screen. Passengers already enjoy many of the comforts of the premium cabin, including the same beverage service, LED mood cabin lighting and in-seat power for electrical devices.
The enhanced service is a direct reflection of customer feedback over the past 12 months and is part of Air New Zealand's continuing effort to be the airline of choice for international travelers.
