Air New Zealand is a member of the Star Alliance network and as an Airpoints™ member you can earn Air New Zealand Airpoints Dollars™ and Status Points on many Star Alliance flights - to over 1,300 destinations in over 190 countries.
Simply make sure you enter your Airpoints number at the time of booking and, if you have booked into an eligible booking class, we will award you your Airpoints Dollars and Status Points on your return.
How many Airpoints Dollars and Status Points will I earn?
We have developed a handy earning rates look-up table to help you work out what you could earn on Air New Zealand and partner flights. Visit www.airnzpoints.co.nz, fill in your departure and arrival cities and we’ll do the rest - it’s that easy.
It's really important to book into the right booking class on your Star Alliance flight. Eligible classes can be found on our Star Alliance partner pages. You are unable to earn Airpoints Dollars and Status Points on codeshare services marketed by a Star Alliance airline but not operated by a Star Alliance airline eg. A Lufthansa numbered flight operated by their subsidiary Germanwings.
What benefits will I receive when travelling on a Star Alliance partner?
The great thing about travelling on Star Alliance partners is that your tier status is recognised. Check out the Star Alliance Benefit chart for an overview.
See the Airpoints Terms and Conditions for full programme details.
