This agreement does not include flights between Hong Kong and London.
Earning Airpoints Dollars™ and Status Points
On flights between Auckland and Hong Kong if you book an Air New Zealand flight with a NZ flight number (e.g. NZ80 or NZ4994), even if it is operated by Cathay Pacific, you will earn Airpoints Dollars based on the Airpoints Dollars Earned on Air New Zealand Flights table.
Similarly, you will also earn Status Points at the Air New Zealand rate for flights between Auckland and Hong Kong booked on Air New Zealand with a NZ flight number even if it is operated by Cathay Pacific.
The Air New Zealand Flight numbers operated by Cathay Pacific are:
- NZ4993, NZ4995 and NZ4991 Auckland to Hong Kong
- NZ4990 and NZ4994 Hong Kong to Auckland
If you travel on Cathay Pacific flight numbers (i.e. your ticket shows a Cathay Pacific flight number) between Auckland and Hong Kong you will earn Airpoints Dollars based on the Airline Partner earn chart and Cathay Pacific's eligible booking classes, and you will not receive any Status Points or Elite, Gold or Koru benefits. This applies to flight numbers CX107, CX108, CX197, CX198, CX7401, CX7402.
If you travel on any flight number that is not Cathay Pacific (CX) or Air New Zealand (NZ), e.g. your ticket shows BA4550, between Auckland and Hong Kong you will not be eligible to earn Airpoints Dollars.
If you travel on any other Cathay Pacific flight, including flights between Hong Kong and London, you will not earn Airpoints Dollars or Status Points.
