Air New Zealand is suspending services between Auckland and Vanuatu in light of on-going concerns about the condition of the runway at Port Vila International Airport. As a result of suspension of Air New Zealand services to and from Port Vila, the codeshare with Air Vanuatu will also cease immediately.
Air New Zealand has a code share agreement with Air Vanuatu, providing services between Auckland and Port Vila.
Air New Zealand code shares on Air Vanuatu's twice a week service and in turn Air Vanuatu code shares on Air New Zealand's once a week service.
Airpoints™ members on flights booked with an Air New Zealand flight number (NZ318 or NZ319) operated by Air Vanuatu are able to claim Airpoints Dollars™ for travel taken through the Claim Missing Points process.
Status Points are not able to be earned on these flights.
Airpoints Elite, Gold and Koru members are able to access the Auckland International Lounge at Auckland Airport and the Air Vanuatu Lounge in Port Vila when travelling on a flight booked with an Air New Zealand flight number (NZ318 or NZ319) operated by Air Vanuatu.
No other frequent flyer benefits are available on these flights.
