Larry and Paula. WOW!!!! We had an absolutely incredible time!!! Although New Zealand and Australia were great to visit, the highlight of the trip was definitely flying Air New Zealand! We've both experienced most of the American based airlines as well as a few international, and there is no comparison whatsoever. The Lounges in LA and Auckland were a wonderful respite and every single employee that we encountered went above and beyond to make sure that we and the other travelers were as comfortable as possible during the long but worthwhile flight.
Highlights in no particular order:
1) Pamela Anderson (I hope she didn't see me taking a sneak photo at your LA Lounge…).
2) Pink Flight. A memory to last a lifetime. I can't believe I didn't win the best chest contest!!!!
3) Mardi Gras in Sydney. We've never experienced such a large, organized parade and party.
4) Australia. We can't wait to return. And, when we saw Russell Crowe at a coffee shop in Paddington, he didn't throw his cell phone at us. Whew! Close one, there.
5) New Zealand. Jumping off of the Sky Tower. I would have never in a million years imagined that Barry would jump off of a nearly 700 foot building, but he said he'd never hear the end of it if he didn't join me. After nearly 18 years I suppose he knows what he's talking about……
6) New Zealand wines. Need I say more? I'm stocking up this weekend!
7) The U.S. dollar. Who knew that it was worth something somewhere? We did our best to get the NZ and OZ economy moving again..;-)
Thank you both for your outstanding help in making this dream vacation happen! |
