Your Ticket

As soon as you receive your airline ticket, check that all details are correct. If you have been issued with an electronic ticket, you will need to print this out and check the details are accurate.

The name on your ticket must match the name on your passport, or if you are travelling on a New Zealand Domestic flight, the proof of identity you provide at check-in. If you are an Airpoints member, the name on your ticket must also match the name on your membership account. If your name has recently changed, or it is showing incorrectly on your Airpoints account, please contact the Airpoints Service Centre to have it updated.

It is also important to check that the flight departure times correspond with those on the itinerary provided by Air New Zealand or your travel agent. This is also the time to check any special conditions or regulations it may contain. Travel packages and special fares, in particular, often have strict conditions attached to them. If you don't understand something on your ticket, ask Air New Zealand or your travel agent. If it's important, you want to find out before, not during, your trip.
